SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENT MINISTRY:
We would be happy to host anyone who is sincerely interested in the ministry for a survey visit, but we are especially looking for students interested in studying the French language in the local university and desiring to help us in mission work. The program here is highly-rated (Cyndie went through it with excellent results) and is available to all levels of French, beginning to advanced. The semesters are from February to June or October to February (including a Christmas break....). There are also many students who come for the month-long intensive study in July, August or September. Tuition cost is very reasonable, compared to American colleges: about $1285 a semester (about $600 a month if you come in the summer). Several Universities in the States bring over a number of students, including Illinois State and Notre Dame. Credit transfer to colleges State-side is usually no problem. The program is open to high-school juniors on up. |
| The school here assists students in finding boarding, and we could assist you as well. The university says to usually plan on $250 a month or so for housing. Generally, they put you up with a reputable French family. |
| Aside from opportunities to witness, involvement in the church here could include musical ministry, helping with student ministries, working with children and various special activities. In general, you will be a real blessing to the French Christians as you minister with us. |
